Lyro is an Australian software company focused on robotics and computer vision for food production. Its configurable platform connects robotic handling, visual assurance and production data to help food manufacturers and processors work with variable products and existing production lines.
For horticulture and fresh-produce operations, the platform is relevant to post-harvest handling, packing and product checks. It is not presented as an in-field crop-monitoring or crop-yield-prediction system.
Solutions for produce handling and processing
Lyro offers three connected solution areas: Cognitive Robotic Pick & Pack, Cognitive Assurance & Exception Handling and Cognitive Production Informatics. Robotic picking and packing can be configured for irregular, variable or deformable products, while computer vision can check agreed visible characteristics of products, packaging and labels.
The assurance capability can retain inspection evidence and direct detected exceptions to an agreed response. Production informatics can connect observations from robotic and assurance systems with other agreed production data, helping teams investigate losses and identify opportunities to improve saleable yield, capacity and margin.
Deployment and integration
Deployments are configured for the products, operating conditions, equipment and facility constraints of each application. The platform can run at the production edge, on a suitable server or across both, and can work with existing machinery and hardware selected for the job.
Lyro works with a customer’s chosen system integrator or a partner from its accredited network. Implementations are staged, with performance validated against agreed criteria before production use and potential expansion to additional tasks, lines or sites.
